Andrew D. Plepler
Andrew D. Plepler is the Senior Vice President of Housing and Community
Initiatives with the Fannie Mae Foundation. He oversees three of the
primary grant-making departments as well as all five regional offices -
Dallas, Philadelphia, Pasadena, Atlanta, and Chicago. he supervises
the targeted outreach department, which includes the Foundation's personal
finance program. He also directs the Foundation's community
development efforts in Washington, DC, which accounts for a third of the
Foundation's overall grant-making.
Before joining the Foundation, Mr. Plepler practiced law as a trial
attorney for the Department of Justice in the Tax Division and served on
Capitol Hill as counsel to the US Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Plepler earned a BA in government from Franklin & Marshall
College in Lancaster, PA and a JD from the University of Miami School of
Law in Coral Gables, FL. Mr. Plepler, his wife and two children live
in Washington, DC.
